FAQ

[text_output]Yes, I know it’s a pain to take 15 seconds (or less- I timed it) to register, but it’s kind of essential for the game. There’s an ongoing point total, so how else could I keep track of that from one round to another? Sure, we could add a field in the questions for you to name yourself, but what if you forgot what username you used the last time? Or what if someone wanted to lie and say they were the person who won the previous round? And do you have any idea how much extra work that would be on my end, having to manually keep up with that kind of thing? I’ve got a full-time job and three kids, including a set of newborn twins, so while I enjoy running this game, I’ve got to make it as streamlined as I can.

It’s really a very small request, asking contestants to register. All you need to do is put in a requested username, and email address, and a password and you’re good to go. So quit whining about it and go do it already.[/text_output]

[text_output]As of right now, no. That might be a feature that will be added later, but it would cost us about $170 and this is currently a hobby. If I start making a bunch of money from it somehow, I’ll consider adding that functionality, but the 9¢ I made from ads yesterday ain’t gonna cut it.

If you REALLY desperately want to change your answers, contact me through Facebook, Twitter, or the contact form, give me your username and ask for me to delete your entry. Just keep in mind that I can’t erase just one of your answers- it’ll erase all of them, and I don’t really have the time to send you your previous answers.

In general, consider the submit button your final answer.[/text_output]

[text_output]As of this moment? See that sidebar with the clock ticking down on it? That’s how long you’ve got.

More specifically, the plan is to give people a week for the first round of each game. After that, each round will last either a week or until all the people who played in Round 1 of the current game get their answers in.

This allows more people to join the game, but keeps contestant who have been with it since the first round from having to wait. I mean, if everyone were to get all their answers in on the first day, would you really want to wait six more days for the results? No. At the same time, it gives more people a chance to join in the fun.[/text_output]

[text_output]How am I going to know if you don’t?

Yeah, you can Google your answers or ask friends to give you suggestions or review your answers, so long as they’re not currently playing the game too. I’ve tried to come up with questions where Googling the answer wouldn’t give any obvious winning answer.

Going forward, “I don’t know” or any such answer will not be tallied for points.[/text_output]
